Availability: Open year round for public recreational usage and available for booking through coordination with the Town. Visit the MORCA website for information on trails.

This centre is owned by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and maintained by the Town. There is 16.5 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing loop, hiking and mountain bike and Fat bike trails following the Main Branch of the Muskoka River which vary in length from 3 to 8 km loops.

Washrooms available during the season, weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and weekends 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Concession stand hours vary.

Ball Diamonds

Peake Fields at Verena Acres includes four lit ball diamonds that can be rented. Several community games and tournaments are held here from minor softball to elite fastball and slo-pitch. Onsite is a playground, concession stand and a disc golf course.

Pavilions

A covered picnic shelter and a pavilion can be rented for small family picnics or birthday parties. Onsite is a playground, concession stand and a disc golf course. Contact Catherine Harris at 705-645-1921 ext. 3702.

Disc Golf Course

The 18-hole disc golf course, built by the Dads of Muskoka is located at 1028 Taylor Road, also known as Peake Fields at Verena Acres, is open for pubic use.

Gostick Park is located on more than 40 hectares of land and is home to the Bracebridge Soccer Club. The development of the soccer facility was inspired by the contribution of the late Randy Gostick to the Bracebridge Soccer Club and to the game of soccer and was named after him in July 2015.There are four outdoor soccer pitches consisting of:

  • two lit full size
  • one unlit full size
  • one unlit half size

There is onsite parking, and a field house with washrooms and change rooms.

This property is owned by the TransCanada Corporation and leased to the Town of Bracebridge and includes a rental chalet, ball diamonds, The Three Amigos Dog Park, one (1) pickleball court and four (4) lit tennis courts. It is also the home of the Bracebridge Tennis Club.

The rustic chalet can be rented for events. Amenities include tables and chairs, a fireplace, a small kitchen and accessible washrooms. Outside is a barbecue, patio, picnic tables. It overlooks the park setting with access to a bird sanctuary, hiking trails and dog park.

It is named after James W. Kerr who joined the TransCanada Pipelines Limited system and was instrumental in building the Canadian natural gas industry.

Three Amigos Dog Park is also located here with a 1.7 acre green space, with two (2) separate fenced in areas, for large and small dogs to enjoy being off-leash, in a safe area.

There is one full sized hardball diamond available to rent.

The Rene M. Caisse Memorial Theatre was officially opened in 2007 and is named after Rene Caisse, a local cancer nurse credited with formulating Essiac. The theatre includes 303 seats with 244 on the main level, 55 in the balcony and two box seats. The theatre is operated through a partnership between the Trillium Lakelands District School Board and the Bracebridge Arts Council oversees the operation and management of this performing arts facility. Performances, ceremonies, seminars, educational programs, graduations, meetings and weddings are held here.

The Bracebridge Centre for Active Living, formally the Senior Citizens Centennial Centre offers a variety of social, recreation and active programs for older adults.
