Bracebridge 150 Logo

Guidelines for Community Requests

The Town of Bracebridge is proud to celebrate its 150-year anniversary in 2025. To mark this significant milestone, a special Bracebridge 150 logo has been developed. This logo will serve as a key visual identity for the Town throughout the anniversary year, symbolizing the town’s rich heritage and promising future. It will temporarily replace the regular corporate logo during the anniversary year.

The Town recognizes that community events and organizations may express interest in using the logo as part of their celebration as well. To ensure consistency and protect the integrity of the brand, all use of the Bracebridge 150 logo by entities outside of the Town of Bracebridge, must adhere to the brand guidelines and instructions below. This will help maintain the visual identity of our celebration while allowing for creative and meaningful community participation.

Request for Logo Use

Before using the logo, all community members and organizations must submit a formal request to the Town of Bracebridge for approval. Requests should include details about how the logo will be used, including mockups or descriptions of where the logo will appear (e.g., on websites, promotional materials, etc.). The Town will review requests to ensure the usage aligns with the official brand guidelines and the spirit of the 150th-anniversary celebration.

To submit a request, please complete the online form below.

For questions, contact the Town’s Communications Coordinator, at media@bracebridge.ca.
Please allow five to seven business days for review and approval.

General Guidelines for Logo Usage

  • The logo must not be modified, stretched, distorted, recolored, or altered in any way. All proportions, colors, and elements of the logo must remain intact.
  • The logo should not be combined with other logos or visual elements in a way that diminishes its integrity or clarity.

  • The primary full-color version of the logo is preferred for most uses.
  • Monochrome versions (black, blue or white) may be used only when necessary (e.g., in black-and-white printing or on dark backgrounds). These versions must be requested from the Town and used according to provided specifications.

  • To ensure the logo is legible and prominent, there must be adequate clear space around the logo. No other text, images, or graphic elements should encroach upon this space.
  • The logo should be placed in a prominent and appropriate position, typically at the top or bottom corner of materials, and should not be crowded by other content.

  • The logo should not be reduced to a size where it becomes difficult to read or recognize. The logo must be no smaller than 1.375 inch in width for printed materials or 300 pixels in width for digital use.
  • Larger sizes are encouraged for promotional materials or when greater visibility is needed.

  • Websites
    • The logo may be used on community websites to promote events and activities associated with the Bracebridge 150 anniversary celebration. It should appear in a designated section for partnerships or sponsorships and should not dominate the page.
    • If the event was supported by the Bracebridge 150 Grant, please include “generously supported by the Town of Bracebridge” in close proximity to the logo.
    • If the corporate logo is used on your website currently to represent a partnership or affiliation, you may use the Bracebridge 150 logo in place of the corporate logo for 2025.
  • Marketing Materials
    • The logo can be included in brochures, flyers, posters, and other promotional materials to promote programs and events associated with the Bracebridge 150 anniversary.
    • These materials may be reviewed and approved by the Town to ensure proper alignment with the brand guidelines.

Prohibited Uses

  • The logo must not be used in a way that implies an endorsement by the Town of Bracebridge of any individual, organization, or product.
  • The logo must not be used in any materials that promote illegal, discriminatory, or offensive content or activities.
  • The logo cannot be used for political purposes or in a manner that may bring harm to the Town of Bracebridge or its anniversary celebrations.
  • The logo is not to be used on merchandise/swag. The Town of Bracebridge will be organizing the creation and distribution of promotional material featuring the Bracebridge 150 logo.
