All Town parks and trails remain closed until further notice
BRACEBRIDGE, ON (April 2, 2025) – Residents are reminded that all Town of Bracebridge parks and trails are closed and not maintained during the off season. The ice storm has caused damage and excessive amounts of debris that has made the locations unsafe. Crews will assess the damage and begin clean-up operations as soon as it is safe to do so. Please use extreme caution in these areas and avoid visiting all together.
On-site signage and barriers will be placed where necessary. The absence of signage does not indicate the site is available for use. Do not visit any Town parks or trails until further notice.
Bracebridge Resource Management Centre
Effective immediately, the cross-country ski trails at the Bracebridge Resource Management Centre are closed for the season.
The ice storm has created hazardous conditions on the trails, making them unsafe for use. With fluctuating temperatures and the spring thaw underway, the trails are no longer suitable for winter activities, and grooming operations have concluded. The Town asks all residents and visitors to respect the closure to ensure safety and to help protect the trails for future use.
The Town would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the season to groom and maintain the trails. Their commitment ensures that residents and visitors can enjoy high-quality outdoor recreation opportunities all winter long.
