EXPLANATION OF THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED MINOR VARIANCE
The minor variance application was submitted in order to permit a sleeping cabin and recognize the locations of a sauna and boat rack.
Specifically, the applicants are requesting relief from Section 3.3.2 iii) of Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2016-088 in order to permit a sleeping cabin with a gross floor area of 49.0 square metres (527.4 square feet), whereas the Zoning By-law permits a maximum of 37.0 square metres (398.3 square feet).
The applicants are also requesting relief from Section 4.2.1 vi) of Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2016-088 in order to permit four (4) accessory structures, whereas the Zoning By-law permits a maximum of three (3) accessory structures in a Shoreline Zone.
The applicants are also requesting relief from Section 4.2.1 iii) and 3.3.3.1 of Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2016-088 in order to permit a sauna in the front yard with a 29.0 metre (95.1 foot) setback from the highwater mark, whereas the Zoning By-law permits 30.0 metres (98.4 foot).
The applicants are also requesting relief from Section 4.2.1 iii) and 3.3.3.1 of Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2016-088 in order to permit a boat rack in the front yard with a 23.8 metre (78.1 foot) setback from the highwater mark, whereas the Zoning By-law permits 30.0 metres (98.4 foot).
