Continued resources for those still being affected by the ice storm

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (April 11, 2025) – While power has been restored to the majority of properties following the ice storm, a small portion of the community remains affected. The Town of Bracebridge continues to work with agency partners to provide ongoing support.

Thank you to the crews, first responders, Town staff, community partners, and neighbours who have stepped up in extraordinary ways to support one another. Please continue to check in on vulnerable members of the community and provide clean-up support if able to do so.

The Town’s recreation facilities are available during regular business hours for visitors to charge devices and use the facilities. Emergency food boxes continue to be available.
Reu’s Café at the Sportsplex and Brews and Bites at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre are open daily to provide snacks and beverages.

Residents are reminded that all Town of Bracebridge parks, trails, and cemeteries are closed and not maintained during the off season. Excessive debris has made these locations unsafe. Please use extreme caution and do not visit until further notice.

The Town of Bracebridge urges continued caution to seasonal property owners wanting to visit. Recovery efforts are ongoing, and many seasonal and private roads have incurred tree damage and remain unmaintained. If you decide to visit, do so at your own risk and ensure you are fully self-sufficient. Bring all necessary supplies, including food, fuel, and emergency provisions.

Information on available supports, warming centres, and helpful safety resources can be found at
