Statutory holiday update – Labour Day

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (August 27, 2024) – Due to Labour Day on Monday, September 2, the following Town facilities will be closed. 
  • Municipal Office, 1000 Taylor Court
  • Bracebridge Sportsplex, 110 Clearbrook Trail
  • Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, 56 Salmon Avenue
  • Bracebridge Fire Station 1, 225 Taylor Road
Facilities will re-open for service during their regular business hours on Tuesday, September 3.

Bracebridge Fire
The Bracebridge Fire Station 1 at 225 Taylor Road will be closed on Monday, September 2. In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1. Residents are reminded that daytime burning is not permitted from April 1 to October 31 and to check the fire danger rating prior to any burning. Bracebridge Transit
Bracebridge Transit and Bracebridge Mobility will not operate on Monday, September 2. Operations will resume on Tuesday, September 3 at 7:30 a.m. For route and schedule information, visit bracebridge.ca/transit.

Back to school safety
As children prepare to return to school next week, please ensure safety is your top priority.
  • Always obey school zone speed limits and Crossing Guard directions; 
  • Be alert and watch for children crossing the road or darting out throughout the day; and
  • Stop for school buses. Failure to do so can result in a fine of up to $2000 and six demerit points.

Residents and visitors are reminded that fireworks are only permitted on designated days set out in the Towns Noise Control By-law. Fireworks are not permitted on Labour Day.
