Apple Tree Parkette
Entrance Drive, Bracebridge, Ontario Canada
The property is owned by the Canadian National Railway and leased to the Town of Bracebridge. The small park provides a quaint rest area in the Downtown core. A decorative fountain which originally stood near the post office at Manitoba Street and Taylor Road, was donated to the community by the Womans Christian Temperance Union in 1914 and moved to its present location in the parkette in 1988. The vintage drinking fountain hosts 3 large horse troughs. At one time, drinking cups were suspended on chains allowing humans to drink from the flowing water coming from the lion head mascarons.
