Compliments and Complaints

The Town of Bracebridge is committed to continuous improvement where all complaints are dealt with fairly in a respectful, transparent fashion, as quickly as possible. We also like to share positive feedback with team members when they are recognized for a job well done.

If you are dissatisfied with a Town program, service, facility, or staff member, and believe the Town has not provided a proper service experience, please let us know.

Submit a Compliment or Complaint

To submit a compliment or complaint to the Town, you will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Location
  • Date and time
  • Details about the situation and who was involved

All submissions will be dealt with in a confidential manner according to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.  Information will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Act.  More information on the Act is available on our website.

Ontario Ombudsman

The Ontario Ombudsman’s Office oversees and investigates more than 1,000 provincial government and broader public sector bodies, such as provincial ministries, Crown corporations, tribunals, agencies, boards and commissions, and municipalities, universities, and school boards.

The Town's complaint process is not deemed to be exhaused until the Chief Administrative Officer has been notified of the issue and has responded to the complainant. If you have followed the above process, and the Town's Chief Administrative Officer has been directly involved and has been unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may submit a complaint to the Ontario Ombudsman.
