Take notice that the Committee of Adjustment for Minor Variance will hold a hybrid public meeting on March 17, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.
This meeting will be held in a Hybrid format in accordance with Section 238 of the Municipal Act, and the Town’s Procedure By-law, which provide for Electronic Participation.
This winter, Bracebridge received a significant amount of snow, and with consistently cold temperatures, it accumulated with very little opportunity to melt or minimize. As temperatures begin to change, and spring is in sight, the Town of Bracebridge is preparing for the onset of the spring freshet season and reminds property owners to take the necessary steps to ensure proper drainage, protect their property, and ensure personal safety.
Reporting to the Manager of Facilities or designate, the Facility Operator 2 is responsible for the maintenance of recreation facilities including pools, arena, and fieldhouse, and ensuring the highest quality standards of building maintenance and cleanliness is achieved. Supervision of the facilities is required from time to time when working alone.
Reporting to the Chief Building Official or designate, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the staff in the Building Services Branch with the primary function being to administer all aspects of building and septic permits and related matters. This position provides customer service to the building industry and property owners and responds to enquiries from public, Council and other municipal departments regarding the day-to-day activities of the Building Services Branch and the Planning and Development Department.

This week, Bracebridge experienced temperatures above zero for the first time this season which resulted in snow thaw that led to concerns about damaged gas lines, eavestroughs and roofing materials, as well as unevenly loaded roofs and potential flooding.
