The Bracebridge Fire Department will be performing targeted wellness checks with members of the community that are still without power due to the winter storm event. Specific locations have been determined based on information supplied by Hydro One and other local community agencies.

Rolling road closures will take place from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4 to 7 a.m. on Thursday, December 5 to facilitate snow removal in Downtown Bracebridge. Traffic control will be in place while work takes place. Please keep the area clear during this time and ensure there are no vehicles parked on the road.
The Town of Bracebridge’s Emergency Control Group continues to monitor the outcome of the weekends winter storm event. Public Works crews have been working tirelessly to maintain road operations and are now focusing on pushing snow back to increase storage capacity and maintain visibility.
Due to the winter weather event that brought significant snowfall to Bracebridge over the past weekend, the door-to-door food drive in support of the Salvation Army South Muskoka Ministries has been postponed.
Town of Bracebridge recreation facilities are experiencing power outages due to the winter storm. As a result, some amenities are unavailable. All user groups and rental parties have been contacted.
The Town of Bracebridge has declared a Significant Weather Event due to the ongoing impacts of the winter storm and continued precipitation in the forecast. Public Works crews are actively monitoring the weather and will continue to perform winter maintenance operations on all roads and sidewalks. Additional time may be required to achieve standard maintenance levels during this time.
Take notice that the Committee of Adjustment for Minor Variance will hold a hybrid public meeting on December 9, 2024 at 2:00 P.M.
This meeting will be held in a Hybrid format in accordance with Section 238 of the Municipal Act, and the Town’s Procedure By-law, which provide for Electronic Participation.
Town cemeteries will close for the season beginning Wednesday, November 27. No interments or monument installations will take place.
